'In Sync' - Solo Exhibition by Gwenael Salaun
February 2008
Eight Members Club, London
Gwenaël Salaün deconstructs words and imposes white silences. The output is a new language, in constant mutation. It can only be unfinished, with more questions than answers. His art is extremely seductive because so well in sync with our unconscious. It carries an incredible energy whilst displaying fragile lines and subtle colours: the reshuffled images and words have gained in strength through a new coherence.
‘In Sync’ presented his latest artworks: paintings on canvas, mixed medias on paper and a broad selection of drawings on paper. This series of artworks had been produced by the artist especially for this occasion, offering an exceptional coherence of themes and colours.
