In her early work Claire Fahys has been mostly inspired by architecture. Developing a technique with strong graphical aspect and using mixed media. Moving to Berlin, Claire Fahys discovered there its thriving international art scene where considerable respect was attached to painting as an art form in keeping the traditions of German expressionism. She then to focus her attention more intensely on painting. Using oil on large canvases, she now aims to capture and restore an atmosphere with subtleties and ambiguities, directing the viewer with only a few clues, allowing him to personally invest in the work. The point is not to explain everything, but leaving an unfinished impression that appeals to the imagination.
