Sylvain Polony and the urban mirrors

Sylvain Polony is inspired by urban imageries. He uses industrial lacquers and aluminium plates to produce artworks that seem to have been created as part of an industrial process. His paintings are like fractal images on a plasma screen, but nourished by real pigments, chemical effects and texture interactions.

The artist views these metal plates as mirrors of mega-cities and their irresistible halo. Sylvain Polony invites us to a night walk in an infinite urban maze, from high energy spaces with neon, agitation, smoke and bright colours to shivering darkness. His art contains the soul of reality and the unleashed freedom of virtuality.
