Jean-Marc Sanchez, l’énergie libérée
Jean-Marc Sanchez (b. 1963) lives between Paris and Geneva. He has got a degree in Fine Art from the Toulouse School of Art
(France) and a master degree in Architecture from Laval University in
Quebec (Canada). Jean-Marc Sanchez has used his exceptional creativity to work
as an architect, as a set designer for film making, as well as a
creative director for a major advertising agency. He is
represented in the UK by The French Art Studio since 2006. Jean-Marc Sanchez’s paintings oscillate between abstraction and figurative representations of physical elements. His work transports us in an aerial journey to the drama of confronting natural forces. The violence of fire and smokes clashes with the lightness of air and clouds, and the strength of water embraces the voluptuousness of the earth. The eternal cycle of order and chaos is suggested through this series of artworks. Opposing the richness of bright colours with dark inks, superposing layers of paintings with subtle texture effects, the artist reveals the aesthetic sensuality of these infinite combinations
Jean-Marc
Sanchez is influenced by abstract expressionist painters. He admires Zao Wou-Ki
and often names his paintings after asian sounding names, as a tribute
to the Franco-Chinese painter.
